So many "Christians" define themselves by the church they attend or the denomination they are affiliated with. "I go to so and so church" or "I am a such and such whatever".
Jesus said that we are to be recognized or "known" by something far greater than either one of these two things.
In John 13:35 Jesus says, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you LOVE ONE ANOTHER". ... We are to be known by our love. And I don't think Jesus was only referring to our love for our fellow Christian brothers or sisters; in fact, I believe He was referring to our love for those who do not yet know Christ. For the broken hearted, the broken down, the one who is experiencing a broken marriage, the one with broken dreams, or those with broken lives...
In Mark 2:17 Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
The old song rings truer today than ever before... "People Need the Lord, People Need the Lord. When will we realize that we must give our lives?"
So... What will you be known for today? Who will see the love of Christ in you? Who NEEDS to see the Love of Christ in you? Think about it...
